"Oggi" a traditional narrowboat just 6'10" wide and 68' long, Built for her current owners in 2001. Outside she carries the shape and livery of a traditional narrow boat that would ply the canals and rivers in England in the 1700's, delivering coal to the factories,grain to the breweries and anything that needed moving in the Industrial revolution.
Inside she is every bit of the 21st Century. "Oggi" was designed and built by the Maestro of design for narrowboats, Ken Warriner of Fernwood Designs and Craft, ably aided by his wife Julia as decorator. A team whose work is copied by many but equalled by none. Launching took place in December 2001. She was on exhibition at the Crick Boat Show in May 2002.
"Oggi's home base is on The Grand Union Canal just 15 minutes taxi ride from Heathrow. On summer cruises "Oggi" can be seen on the River Thames enjoying the summer river festiities like the Henley Regatta, Hampton Court, Windsor Catle, and Eton visiting the waterside pubs. In the winter she can be seen travelling the Regent's Canal, putting into Paddington, Camden Town and finally to Limehouse(where the canal meets the River Thames) to enjoy the Thameside pubs and eating places of the "Mayflower" era.
Built with comfort and cruising enjoyment in mind. Every modern convenience available. A galley with electric oven, hotplate and microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer and exhaust fan. The saloon is fitted out in Oak and dark cream leather with the galley housing a welsh dresser style shelves to house the blue and white Spode china.
Two bathrooms on board - The Roman bathroom with Jacuzzi and a "wet" shower room. Master cabin in Oak with twin beds. Day room fitted out in red cedar with sofa that converts into a double bed for guests.
Sold complete with extensive inventory. Just bring yours clothes and your toothbrush.
